I was 29 and I could no longer ignore the pull to live in New Zealand, where my mom grew up and I have citizenship. It was time. I had to pay attention.

I moved. I wrote every day, I learned to meditate, I learned to surf. I wandered through the country. I worked in the film industry and explored different creative pursuits for years. I had my heart broken. I was astonished.

I discovered I had a really good story. I wrapped it all up into a clean 5 minutes and threw my name in the hat to speak at a Moth event in Asheville, NC. My name was chosen. I told about it. My story won the highest score that evening.

My most recent work - while I was the Lead Experience Designer & Strategist at a website design and marketing agency in New Zealand called Flight Digital - is featured on my website home.

I also work as a producer and art director for a handful of indie films & music videos, some projects are listed at the bottom of the same page.

More about my not-work

I’ve started a Substack called (I Wonder) What’s Behind All That. “That” being something I’m curious about. I’m nuerodivergent and queer, and I like to understand things from square 1. I ask a lot of simple questions that seem to really strip things down to their roots.

I also post my poetry and exploratory videos on my instagram like the millenial that I am.

I also occasionally make wax cast jewelry, write lyrics to songs, and am constantly thinking about the future: the impact we can have as individuals; and how, as a collective, we can make it less dystopian and techy, and more warm and human.
